Lithographed tin badge (1892-30) was precursor stylistically to the celluloid buttons introduced during the 1896 campaign. The 1892 campaign witnessed the introduction of aluminum medals and the popularity of lapel studs. The variety of badge shapes and materials continues to expand. The 1892 campaign represents the end of a glorious 30 year run for political ferrotypes.
